Masterbuilt 20070910 Digital Electric Smokehouse Masterbuilt smoker parts are designed for easy set-up and installation, and are manufactured to be readily available for replacement when you need them. All of this is important when you consider that it has a great deal to do with your overall satisfaction of your Masterbuilt smokehouse and its’ ability to provide you with long-lasting enjoyment.

The Masterbuilt 20070910 digital electric smokehouse has become known as the class favorite and because of its popularity, the components of this smoker will receive the spotlight here. This electric smoker is easy to set-up and comes with simple-to-follow instructions on how to prepare your smoker for use the first time.

What Can I Expect When I Assemble the Smoker for Use?

The first thing to note is that it is critical to have all parts in place before the smoker is ever turned on. You will find that It comes mostly preassembled but there is some set-up and installation required for things like the adjustable screw legs, digital control panel, wood chip loader, wood chip holder, water bowl, cooking racks, and grease tray. The only tool that you will need for assembly is a Phillips-head screwdriver.

What Are the Different Parts That I Should Expect to Receive?

•  Smoker body – the smoker body is black in color and very durable. Because there is a lot of smoke produced when using wood chips, smoke will escape through the seams and the inside of the smoker will become blackened by the smoke. The inside and outside of the smoker body can be wiped down with a damp cloth but should not be cleaned with any soap or cleaning detergent.

•  Digital control panel – the digital control panel is used to set the temperature and timer and will be mounted on the top of the smoker.  It has an easy-to-read LED display and the pushbutton controls make it easy to set. The maximum temperature setting on the control panel is 275°F.

•  Water bowl – the water bowl should be checked throughout the smoking process and filled with water when it becomes empty. It can be cleaned after each use with mild dish soap. This bowl should always be in place during the smoking process to prevent food from dripping onto the wood chips.

•  Wood chip loader – this is one of the favorite features commonly mentioned about this digital smoker because it allows you to add wood chips without opening the smoker door. The wood chip loader should always be in place to minimize the chance of wood flare-ups. It is best to clean the loader after each use by removing ashes, residue and dust build up. Do not load more than 1 cup of wood chips at a time.

•  Wood chip holder – the wood chip holder is used to hold the wood chips during the smoking process. It is best to clean the holder after each use by removing ashes, residue and dust build up.

•  Drip pan – the drip pan is placed in the bottom of the smoker and should be cleaned after each use with mild dish soap.

•  Cooking racks (4) – the cooking racks should not be overloaded with meat or wrapped in aluminum foil as both will result in heat variations in the smoker unit. The racks are chrome and can be cleaned very easily after each use with mild dish soap.

•  Grease tray – the grease tray is placed on the back of the smoker and should be checked throughout the smoking process and emptied when it becomes full.

•  Adjustable screw legs (2) – the adjustable screw legs come preassembled to the smoker body and should be adjusted so that the smoker is level when it is upright.

•  Leg boots (2) – the leg boots come preassembled to the smoker body and do not need to be adjusted.

•  Air damper – the air damper comes preassembled to the smoker body and you will want to be sure that you close the air damper to retain the heat and moisture when smoking most meats. The exception to this is when smoking fish and jerky at which time you will want to open the air damper so that the moisture is released.

•  Door – the door comes preassembled and should only be opened when necessary as it allows heat to escape and may cause the wood chips to flare up. To minimize the loss of both heat and smoke, you can adjust the latch on the door to make a tighter seal against the smoker body. The seal around the door as well as the inside seam should be cleaned after each use to keep the seal tight and in good working order.

While not included in the standard parts list, Masterbuilt has developed some accessories for their electric smokers that help to simplify and add to the enjoyment of the smoking process. If you haven’t done so already, you will want to consider some of this equipment to see how it can benefit you.

Does This Smoker Come with an Internal Meat Thermometer?

No. The Masterbuilt 20070910 digital electric smoker does not come with an internal meat probe. Since it is vitally important to cook foods to their proper internal temperature to prevent foodborne illness, you will need to secure a separate meat thermometer if you purchase this product.

However, there are several other models in the Masterbuilt 30 and Masterbuilt 40 series that do come with an internal meat probe as part of their standard features.
What if I Need Replacement Parts – Can I Get Them?

Any of the Masterbuilt smoker parts listed above can be replaced if needed. Additionally, there are other parts that are preassembled and not mentioned above but can also be replaced. Those parts not mentioned above are the heating element, door latch and door hinges.

Where Can I Order Replacement Parts?
